What is your background?
I grew up in Wisconsin and attended UW-Madison for my Bachelors Degree in Political Science. After graduating, I worked as a Legislative Aide in the Wisconsin State Assembly where I learned the impact that policy decisions have on the lives of families. In my career, I have had incredible experiences in non-profit and political fundraising and communications and am proud to bring that background to my role here at Higher Expectations.
I live in Racine with my husband, two wonderful children, and our dog and cat, and I am a proud Racine Unified Schools parent (I'm on my school's PTA Board, too!)
What is your favorite thing to do in Racine County?
Taking the kids to the awesome playgrounds and parks throughout Racine, especially Lockwood Park near our house.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
First an ice skater, and then the first female President.
What makes you excited to be a part of the Higher Expectations team?
Being a part of an organization that helps institutions and organizations look inward at how they can improve their services and systems in a way that helps students and families achieve their dreams is amazing and exciting work.
What's one thing you love that has nothing to do with work?
Favorite movie of all time: The Princess Bride
