What is your background?
I started my career as an elementary science teacher in the New York City public schools and then worked for Teach For America for 8 years where I supported the organization's national strategy for training and developing educators. I originally hail from northeast Ohio and went to college at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
What is your favorite thing to do in Racine County?
I love exploring the many tasty treats of the County, including Kebab and Grill, Blue Bear, and Sticky Rice.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
At one point, I wanted to be a mini-golf course owner, believe it or not.
What makes you excited to be a part of the Higher Expectations team?
I get to support many organizations and individuals throughout the community in using data to improve how we serve children and families. It's exciting to see a shift in personal mindsets and organization cultures to embrace constantly getting better through regular reflection and use of evidence.
What's one thing you love that has nothing to do with work?
I love exploring new music, making lists of the best tracks and albums each year, and creating nerdy charts to visualize my favorites.
