What do you do for Higher Expectations?
In my role as the Student Engagement Associate, I facilitate connections between individuals and resources for completing the 509 program at the YWCA of SE Wisconsin and Gateway Technical College. This enhances accessibility to earn an HSED and/or career training, leading to improved educational outcomes for the community.
What is your background?
I have an educational background in Accounting but through my life experiences, I have found a true passion in helping others in my community and finding ways to bridge the gap between opportunity-challenged individuals and pouring into the youth around me.
What is your favorite thing to do in Racine County?
Facilitating Community Nights at The Knapp Elementary!
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be Pro Basketball player for the WNBA
What makes you excited to be a part of the Higher Expectations team?
I am most excited to have another opportunity to support the community around me through my everyday work.
What's one thing you love that has nothing to do with work?
One thing that I love outside of work is traveling with my partner and daughter. I look forward to creating more memories with the people I love the most.
